Our 14th annual River Rescue cleanup and Dam Jam Downtown Celebration is on Saturday, June 9th, 2012!

River Rescue Check in is from 8:00-9:00am!  

Dam Jam Downtown will begin at 3:00!

 

River Rescue Cleanup Pre-registration is required!

 

$12 per person : Children 12 and under are FREE, $10 additional boat fee for canoe rentals. Register here on line at GetMeRegistered or Print this Form! The litter pick-up beginns at Tailwaters Access below Springfield Lake Dam and ends at the HWY 160 bridge (Summers on the River). Approximately 3.4 miles.

 

Fees include:

  • "Dam Jam Downtown, River Rescue Celebration" annual collectors tee shirt!

  • A delicious lunch by the Traveling Chef!

  • Shuttling YOU to and from your vehicle. 

  • Details about the cleanup stretch and meeting place are provided as the event unfolds and updates will be emailed to registrants.

Later in the evening Join us for our 1st ever Dam Jam Downtown, a River Rescue Celebration at the Park Central Square, Springfield MO. Crawdad Boil 'N' other great viddles and freshly brewed beer from Springfield Brewing Company 'N' more...

The celebration will begin at 3:00 p.m. with family activities and enlighten booths for all ages with music beginning at 4:00 p.m. Admission is FREE!

  • The Shotgun Brothers Band: founded in 2006 and is a unique blend of musical styles and sounds. The range is from hard-driving bluegrass inspired rock to vocal and lyric driven Americana and everything between. They are all about interactions, inspiration and good 'ol fun. Comprised of: Brandon Moore, Duk Rehagen, Kevin Hopper, Clint Thomspon, and Jim Rea.

  • Deep Fried Squirrel: Stay tune for band information

  • Honky Suckle: Blending rock and grass influences with roots music's raw power..They bring a real intensity that is seldom heard. Comprised of: Dave Smith, Kyle Young, Adam Howell, Eric Howell and Rj Flores.

198 cleanup floaters removed 5.4 tons of trash, approximately 3/4 ton of metal and 200 tires!!!
