Personally Identifiable Information Policy

Updated March 27, 2023

What is Personally identifiable information (PII)?

Personally identifiable information (PII) is described as any representation of information that permits the identity of an individual to whom the information applies to be reasonably inferred by either direct or indirect means. Examples of PII include, but are not limited to name, address, phone number, credit card number, email address, or social security number.

What we collect:

We collect PII through online webforms, as well as verbally over the phone and in-person. The type of information we collect is determined by your purpose for interacting with JRBP.

Items we might collect include your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, or credit card number. These items may be stored in our online database or in documents on our internal server.

How we use your PII:

  • Membership program communication – to inform you when your membership needs to be renewed, as well as to provide tax receipts for your monetary contributions.

  • Event Registration – to track participants at JRBP events and communicate with participants about current, past, and future events. To accept and process payment when registration fees are applicable.

  • Volunteer opportunities – to inform you about JRBP events, as well as communicate details of events you have expressed an interest in.

  • Rebates – To process rebate requests you have applied for.

  • Fundraising events – to accept your financial support.

JRBP strives to take all reasonable precautions to protect your PII.

JRBP does not sell, rent, give away or loan your PII without your consent, or use it for targeted marketing purposes.

By using our online webforms or contacting us directly, you consent to the collection and use of your personally identifiable information by JRBP.
