THE DETAILS

Join fellow JRBP members along this beautiful, urban 1-mile stretch of restored stream located in Springfield. JRBP Project Manager will discuss the restoration process and project, while demoing kick-netting (a technique used to sample & count macroinvertebrates, while learning about the health of the stream) This urban stream continues to get healthier and more diverse with plants and wildlife each year!

Additionally, our expert speaker, Brian Edmond from the Missouri Prairie Foundation, will discuss native plants, pollinators, and more on our leisurely morning stroll!

Please no open toed-shoes. We encourage you to bring refillable water bottles, sunscreen, bug spray, sunglasses and a hat.

We can’t wait to see our JRBP members at this tour & stroll.
