Activities will include water quality monitoring, macroinvertebrate ID, fish sampling and ID, native plants, and more!

Note: Missouri Smallflows Organization will be offsite at the Onsite Wastewater Demonstration Site, north of the Watershed Center, next to the Springfield Equestrian Center (4007 N Farm Rd 171, Springfield, MO 65803).
Learn about onsite wastewater treatment systems (septic systems) at the onsite wastewater demonstration site. This site showcases different technologies for wastewater treatment. Becoming a worker in this industry opens many doors in heavy equipment operation, working outdoors, working with your hands, problem-solving, and protecting public health! Come for a tour of the demonstration site and visit with professionals about working in wastewater treatment. Tours will be starting at 1:15 PM and commence every hour, with the last one at 5:15 PM.
